VICE-CHANCELLOR BECOMES NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF NIFST
Our own amiable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Isaac Adebayo Adeyemi was, on Thursday 16th day of October, 2008, sworn in as the National President for the prestigious Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST).
The swearing-in ceremony was the grand finale of a week long program of activities of the Institute’s 32nd Annual Conference and AGM. This year’s event was held at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso; where some deserving members were also awarded Fellows of the Institute.
In his acceptance speech, Professor Adeyemi reiterated his commitment to the ideals of the Institute saying that all will be carried along in the new administration. He further emphasized his total commitment to the issue of the NIFST Charter already in the National Assembly. In his words, ‘the NIFST Charter will be passed to law during this administration’s tenure with the help and cooperation of the past excos and all members in general.’
